Capturing the Real You
The Experience
I require spontaneity, searching for moments that exist in-between.
Alone together, beyond the crowd, above the world, mingling with our closest and dearest, all of us experience true feelings each day that resonate more with living our best lives than anything else; Sometimes it's a laughter that cracks louder than others, the sudden joy that seeps when our beloved holds us close, others it is the calm of smile that passes before our eyes so quickly, and yet the grasp of it stays so powerful inside, pulling us out of ourselves and making us part of the world when shared. It is these feelings I adore the most, the ones I strive to bottle up for life and what my photographs speak of.

-
How Long have you been working as a wedding photographer?I’ve been taking pictures and snapping moments for a long time as a hobby, but I finally decided to become a full time photographer in 2017 and have been documenting weddings since.
-
Where are you based?I live in Swakopmund, a beautiful and historical coastal town in Namibia. We have some of the most epic landscapes and beautiful sunsets, I love being a photographer here.
-
What is your editing style and what program do you use?I have a very natural approach to editing, photoshop isn’t part of my daily routine but I use it for more creative looks. I use Adobe Lightroom CC for most of my editing work. I developed my own presets which I apply to a photo and then tweak it from there, with attention to detail. My aim for the finished edit is to be dreamy, a little moody, and realistic to the moment. I edit with printing in mind, because ultimately my hope is for my couples to print their photographs and not just have them hidden on a computer.
-
What camera do you use?I shoot with NIKON Z, the new mirrorless range. Nikon was the first pro camera I ever picked up and I stuck with it. My camera is my ride or die, I spend more time with it than probably anything else... For lenses, I’m a prime girl. I love the quality a prime lens produce, the only time I normally would use a zoom lens is during the ceremony. I believe that your best zoom lens are your legs.
-
Do you only photograph couples and weddings?Yes and no - I am devoted to only booking couple shoots and weddings, because this is my niche and it keeps me real busy especially during wedding season. However, if you’re looking to book a family or maternity photo shoot please be in touch - if I can’t help you I am happy to recommend a fellow photographer.
-
We have a limited budged but still want beautiful photographs.I get it, weddings can be expensive, I was a bride once, I know. There is so much to consider when planning a wedding and it's completely up to you to decide what to prioritize, however, you should be willing to invest in your photographs - not despite all the other costs and efforts that go into your wedding day, but because of it. I am happy to help brides where I can, get in touch and let’s see how we can work within your budget.
-
How long do you store our photos.I try to store all my work indefinitely, I have multiple hard drives and multiple back-ups, but I encourage you to download and store your photographs somewhere safe. After you received your gallery, I delete the original images and only keep the edited. I am not responsible for the storage of your files after delivery, but I will off-course keep it safe.
-
How do we book you?I am stoked that you are interested in working with me, CONTACT ME and I’ll be in touch, be sure to read through my T’s & C’s before you book.
-
Can we bring our dog along for the shoot?Yes please! Our pets are a big part of our lives, and it is incredibly important and special to capture memories with them. I highly recommend booking a session for you and your pets, it’s so much fun, but I also recommend to bring a friend to keep your pet busy for the moments they aren’t too invested in the photo shoot.
-
What do we wear to our photo shoot? This is probably one of the most asked questions and I’m here to help. Outfits really do make or break the overall look of your photographers, I personally don’t believe in less is more. I have created a styling guide I send my couples when they book with me, along with a mood board and endless back and forth texting to plan your session with attention to detail.
-
Can you give us the raw, unedited files?Nope! That is like asking Picasso for a painting without his signature on it... just don’t.
-
It’s our first photo shoot, what do we need to know?First things first, choose your location and plan accordingly. I normally shoot during sunset hour, so be prepared to get home after dark or we can do a sunrise session, this is probably the most beautiful time of day but you’ll have to get up super early. The theme of your shoot is important to discuss with me, if you have any visions or ideas please let me know, I am happy to help where I can. PS: be prepared to make a last minute location change, weather can be very unpredictable and sometimes we have to relocate to a less windy area or somewhere indoors.
